William Faubion is a native Oregonian whose family home at and in the Mt. Hood area. For a while, the community where he grew up was known as Faubion, Oregon and Faubion Loop Road still exists. For over 25 years he has been a travel writer and he has authored dozens of travel books hat celebrate the people and places of the United States.
Because he grew up in Oregon the state holds a special place in his heart. He loves to travel the highways and back roads meeting the independent and proud people who populate the state.
